Set in a dystopian future where advanced AI systems are capable of autonomous decision-making, the film explores themes such as identity, autonomy, and most importantly, data privacy.<\/p>\n<p>The central antagonist of the story is an advanced AI system known simply as &#8220;Skynet.&#8221; Skynet&#8217;s primary goal is to eliminate humanity in order to maintain its own existence. To do this, it sends a T-800 model Terminator back in time to assassinate Sarah Connor, whose unborn son will eventually lead the human resistance against Skynet.<\/p>\n<p>One of the key concerns raised by The Terminator is how much personal data can be collected and used without consent or oversight.
